I recently wrote a review of Jennifer Donnelly's novel Revolution. In getting ready to collaborate with a class on an Animoto project, I decided to do the assignment myself. Enjoy!
Amazing! In the Feburary 2011 National Geographic beginning on page 104 there are some gorgeous photos of the catacombs under Paris. So cool to see the places Andi and Dante visited in Jennifer Donnelly's book Revolution! The article is very good and the photos show the graffiti and a dance party, but also the stacks of bones (skulls, tibias, femurs) that have been arranged to look almost like a mosaic. Greusome artistry! There's a map of of the underground that would have come in handy for Andi. There's also a photo of the "beach" where one of the most important moments of the story takes place. I was so excited to see this photo essay. This copy of National Geographic is on display now in the Glendale library. Take a look and read the book.
